Dear ISFN members,

We are excited to announce that the upcoming ISFN meeting will be held
in Eilat on January 14-16, 2024.

To ensure the success of the meeting, each one of you is welcome to shape its program.

We invite you to propose scientific sessions that focus on major topics in ALL fields of:

  • Neuroscience, including cellular

  • Molecular

  • Developmental

  • System and cognitive neuroscience.

  • Proposals related to physiological and disease-related states are welcome.

In addition to the regular format of sessions, we encourage you to submit special sessions on controversial topics in the field.

These sessions should be composed from speakers representing different opinions on an important/open question in neuroscience to promote critical thinking across boundaries.

Each session proposal (regular or special) will include the following:

  • Session Title.

  • Short abstract.

  • Chair and co-chair.

  • List of 4 invited speakers.

  • Your name, title, and university.

The deadline for submitting the proposals (for regular and special sessions) is April 20th, 2023.

Please submit your proposal here

If you would like to suggest satellite events funded by external sources, please send the proposals to

Dr. Shahaf Edut, Shahaf.edut@isfn.org.il.

Note that the final selection and approval of sessions will be determined by the Scientific Steering Committee.

Please note the following instructions:

  • A scientist may only chair one regular session. Each scientist may only give one talk.

  • The length of each session is 2 hr.

  • Scientific excellence is the most important parameter for selection of the suggested sessions. You should also take into account diversity at its broader sense and representation.

  • As always, ISFN 2024 will showcase and promote the achievement and potential of

  • young scientists at all stages of their carriers.

  • Regular sessions are composed of 4 invited talks and 2 short talks to be selected from abstracts.

  • Short talk selection will be done by session chairs, from a list of submitted abstracts.

  • Your active participation in planning the main core of the scientific sessions will provide the most important contribution to the success of ISFN2024.
